Accessibility Grasple's Open Eduction

This page has been adjusted for last time on 4 November 2022.

Grasple’s mission is to help as many people as possible to grasp the concepts they are grappling with in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), no matter their background or how affluent their families are.

This means we want Grasple as an educational tool to be open and accessible to a broad variety of people as possible. Accessibility considerations play a major role in the design of our application. We strive to implement as many accessibility recommendations as possible, and keep on improving. Because we have followed recommended accessibility guidelines, people with sight impairments use Grasple successfully to study statistics and mathematics using screen readers.

If you are tasked to explore Grasple as a potential tool for your institution, we have two assessments available that assess how we have implemented important accessibility features in our application:

  1. WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
  2. HECVAT (Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Toolkit) : which assesses cybersecurity, data and vendor policies, including accessibility.

You can request filled in assessments for Grasple; such as WCAG and HECVAT. Please send an email with your request to Accessibility Information Request
