Some months ago, we shared a piece called Looking ahead: Grasple's AI and LLM vision. In it, we set out a clear position. AI in higher education should serve teachers, not replace them. Institutions should remain in control of content, pedagogy and data. Large Language Models should be powerful drafting assistants inside a careful didactic architecture, never the final word. Privacy and autonomy should be foundations, not afterthoughts.
A vision is easy to write. Building it, step by step, is the harder part. This blog is an honest update on where we have arrived, what we have already delivered, and where we still have work to do.
